The plot summary
The film begins with the murder of Priti Saxena, who is stabbed to death in her home. Inspector Lokhande investigates the case and finds enough evidence to arrest Shekhar Saxena, her husband. Shekhar claims that he is innocent and that someone else killed his wife. He asks his lawyer friend Amit to help him out, but Amit tells him that he can't take his case as he is a corporate lawyer. He suggests him to hire Simran Bhargav, a brilliant criminal lawyer who works in his firm.
Shekhar goes to Simran's house and tries to convince her to take his case. Simran tells him that she will only defend him if she believes that he is innocent. She also reveals that she is suffering from guilt over a previous case where she got a man named Ravi convicted for rape and murder based on circumstantial evidence. She later found out that Ravi was innocent and committed suicide in jail.
Simran agrees to meet Shekhar at his house the next day to discuss his case. There, she finds a typewriter hidden in his closet, which matches the one used by a mysterious person who has been sending her clues about the case through letters. She confronts Shekhar about it, but he denies any involvement. He tells her that he bought the typewriter from a second-hand shop and that someone must have stolen it from him. b70169992d
