The Purpose Of A T-Square In Your Birth Chart __HOT__

If you have a T-Square in your birth chart, it essentially means you have experienced a ton of strife throughout your life. Eventually, these challenging experiences have helped you become so much stronger and more capable in the process. If you have a cardinal T-Square, you can count on yourself to be extremely ambitious and a go-getter who never backs down. If you have a fixed T-Square, you can trust yourself to be incredibly patient, calculating, and committed to a longterm cause. And if you were born with a mutable T-Square, you can rely on your endless source of intelligence that allows you to adapt to any situation and learn on the spot.

A square aspect occurs when two planets stand a cool 90 degrees away from each other and share the same modality or quality (cardinal, fixed or mutable). To take it a step further and add a bit more skin to the star game, a pattern aspect occurs when three or more planets conspire to form a shape within the birth chart.

The planets within a T-square fall within the same quality and the nature of the square will be influenced by that quality. If the T-square is cardinal, the native is ambitious and energetic, quick to action but also prone to interfering in the lives of others and hurling themselves into dangerous situations without need or hesitation. Jared Leto has multiple T-squares including a cardinal T-square in his birth chart.

If fixed, the T-square native is determined and stubborn AF, this modality also suggests a certain immovability and a propensity to repeat patterns and feel stuck. Oprah Winfrey and Queen Elizabeth II both have fixed T-squares in their respective birth charts.

A T-square is indicative of great challenge creating the catalyst for wild success. As with all aspects, awareness is the first step towards understanding. To see if this pattern is alive in you, use a birth chart generator or consult an astrologer for a personal reading. In astrology as in life, there are no absolutes and while we cannot control the cards we are dealt nor the squares we are born with, we ultimately choose how to play them.

When studying the t-square in the horoscope of Queen Elizabeth II, I was determined to look beyond the well-documented Saturn, which is the focal planet and conjoins her MC in Scorpio. (See Chart, left.) I soon discovered that the whole configuration describes stories that have been at the centre of her life since birth.

Another thing to note about T-square is the empty leg, where if a planet were to be in a natal chart, it would complete a grand cross aspect pattern. If you have a T-square in your natal chart, any moon phase or planet transiting the empty leg will highlight the areas of life where you feel emptiness, that something is missing, or where you overcompensate for the attention you give to the focal planet.More Aspect Patterns

People born with T-Squares in their birth charts can also be conflicted and pulled in too many directions. They may sizzle then fizzle, not completing what they start until they develop the necessary discipline to do so. Or, they may be driven to succeed against all odds.

Upon first glance at your birth chart, you may find yourself wondering, What are all those lines? The subsequent angles those lines create are known as "aspects," and they're important factors to your own astrological makeup. Here's what to know about aspects, plus how to understand them in your own birth chart, according to astrologers.

There is also the possibility of having a "grand trine," which occurs when you have three planets forming an equilateral triangle on your chart. "If you have one planet in each sign in an element (within 120 +/- 10 degrees of each other), you have a grand trine, which is a major blessing and allows energy to flow easily between the three planets," Budd tells mbg. This results in "notable gifts" in these individuals, with the nature of those gifts being dependent on the planets and signs in question.

And last but not least, we have oppositions, which are formed when planets are 180 degrees apart. (You'll see they sit directly across from each other on your chart.) Budd notes this is generally considered a challenging aspect, though she personally finds them "a little easier" than the square.

In order to understand your birth chart, the main astrological concepts you'll want a handle on are the themes and energies associated with the 12 zodiac signs, the planets, the houses, and the aspects. Below you'll find quick refreshers on the planets and houses, and then we'll get into how to put it all together.

Once you've identified your placements, you can start to look at the aspects that are formed. You can do this within your own chart, on a daily basis based on where the planets are that day, and when comparing your chart to someone else's in relationship astrology (aka synastry).

As modern mystic and author of Astrology SOS Imani Quinn previously explained to mbg, one way to interpret your birth chart and the aspects in it is to figure out whether the themes of the planets in question "work" together. For example, Venus and Mercury conjunct in Taurus, in the seventh house, would indicate an ease when it comes to partnership and expressing emotions.

If just knowing your sun sign isn't cutting it anymore, understanding the aspects in your chart will give you an even deeper understanding of your birth chart and, subsequently, yourself. And when you understand how those aspects influence your strengths and weaknesses, you'll be better equipped to work with them rather than against them.

If your birth chart has squares in it, this will reveal conflicting parts of your nature that will have to be resolved through self-reflection, discipline and personal growth work. Your natal chart squares also show where you may struggle for balance in your life.

One of the most common aspect patterns found in the Birth Chart is known as a 'T-square' or 'T cross'. This is formed by an opposition and two square aspects, which creates a red triangle. The red alerts us that this figure is full of energy and the triangle has a creative dynamic motivation. In Astrological/Psychology this aspect pattern is called the 'efficiency triangle'. However, from my own experience with clients and of having one in my own chart, one goes through a lot of frustration before this figure can be used with efficiency! This, however, maybe its purpose and intent.

We always need to look at the signs, planets and houses involved in assessing any aspect in our charts. However, as I want to draw attention to the purpose of the aspect, looking at the modes of cardinal, fixed or mutable of your T-square may give you some clues.

The T-square has an innate in cardinal energy. These planets cannot remain dormant. The energies involved are forced to be used and to be developed. If this combination is in cardinal signs of Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn, then this drive will be doubly active. Those with this T-square could be inclined to go after what they want. It gives much vitality, drive and assertiveness. This can keep one on the move, busy or where we can appear to be in a rush. There may also be a tendency to overdo things by attempting to accomplish too much too soon, especially if Aries is involved. If you have this type of pattern in your chart you may need to learn how to structure the energy, using it more constructively. Maybe learning patience, compromise, and evaluating your actions will help to turn this energy into efficiency.
