I Rise Alone Episode 8

Alone is an American reality television series on the History channel. The first, second and fourth seasons were filmed on northern Vancouver Island, British Columbia, and the third near Nahuel Huapi National Park in Patagonia, Argentina. It follows the self-documented daily struggles of 10 individuals (7 paired teams in season 4) as they survive in the wilderness for as long as possible using a limited amount of survival equipment. With the exception of medical check-ins, the participants are isolated from each other and all other humans. They may "tap out" at any time, or be removed due to failing a medical check-in. The contestant (or team in Season 4) who remains the longest wins a grand prize of $500,000. As of July 27, 2020,[update] 89 episodes of Alone have aired.

I Rise Alone Episode 8

Titled "I Am Not Alone", Episode 8 saw Claire Fraser (played by Caitriona Balfe) falsely arrested by Richard Brown (Chris Larkin) and his men for the murder of Malva Christie (Jessica Reynolds) and her unborn child. But, despite one of the most nerve-racking episodes of Season 6, packed full of action and undeniable love between Jamie and Claire, audiences never found out Claire's fate or who actually killed Malva Christie.

As they awaited their fate, Claire told Jamie of her dreams of her last meal before her death. It would be the cheeseburger, fries and a coke from the diner audiences saw at the very beginning of the episode, potentially foreshadowing what was to come.

Hiram Crombie (Antony Byrne) arrived on the scene with an army of fisherfolk, wanting to talk to Claire and Jamie and who happens to be in the crowd? Allan Christie (Alexander Vlahos), Malva Christie's unnerving older brother who, to nobody's surprise, called out for Jamie Fraser to stand trial instead.

Thankfully, Young Ian (John Bell) had managed to rally the troops and they were secretly following the Frasers, Brown, and his men on their way to Wilmington but unfortunately, they were not close by enough when Brown had his men brutally separate Claire and Jamie, with the intention of sending Jamie back to Scotland and Claire to Wilmington to be tried alone.

The seventh episode followed the traditional three-act structure, with a beginning, middle, and end, while Narkina 5 is very much the beginning. And yet, the overall cohesiveness of the episode was beautifully achieved, with Willimon still managing to include some set-ups that were later paid off in most of the subplots in the episode, and through masterful editing happening all around. And those cameos too!

There is one overall theme that links together all the storylines in this episode: order. The Empire is seeking it without thinking twice about the consequences, while the soon-to-be Rebellion is questioning what that means. We see how this ambition from one side brings up the worst in some people, such as the prison guards, and the best in others, as we witness with Mon Mothma, Luthen, and the people from Ferrix.

Speaking of that sex with Nick, she's frank about what it means to her. It's not a rebellious act, a middle finger to the patriarchy. "I'm here because it feels good," she tells us. "And because I don't want to be alone."

Unfortunately, Tom has some issues near the end of the episode. While finishing his shelter, he falls and slams his back pretty hard on a sharp stump. He also keeps falling, and it looks like he struggles to get up. While he has snares set for whiskeyjacks and found lichen, he needs to eat more or he might be in serious trouble.
